Detroit Area Dentist Receives AGD Fellowship Award

Westland, MI - The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that Bruce Smoler, DDS, FAGD, FICOI of Westland, Michigan received the association’s Fellowship Award during the AGD 2016 annual meeting, which took place July 14 to 17 in Boston. “This award requires an extraordinary amount of time and effort,” says AGD Immediate Past President W. Mark Donald, DMD, MAGD. “Dr. Smoler should be commended for his unflagging commitment to continuing education, which allows him to provide the best possible dental care and oral health education to his patients.”

About Dr. Bruce Smoler

Dr. Smoler graduated from Northwestern University in 1987 and currently practices comprehensive Implant reconstruction in Southeast Michigan. Graduating with very strong surgical skills allowed Dr. Smoler to easily expand his knowledge in Implant Dentistry with surgical and prosthetic training internships in Pittsburgh PA, London Ontario, and Tampa FL. Dr. Smoler is currently approaching a total of 6,000 hours of continued education. He presently lectures nationally to fulfill his goal to ensure the health and well being of the dental community. To help raise the proficiency of general dentists, Dr. Smoler formed the S.M.I.L.E. (Southeastern Michigan Implant Learning Exchange) Study Club to teach other dentists about Dental Implants. The Smoler Institute of Implant Dentistry is the culmination of years of effort to help dentists learn more about Implant Dentistry and help patients live a more productive, healthy life enjoying the simplest pleasures of everyday living with Dental Implants.
